Interiors & Trim

The car had done over 100,000 miles and had been kept in damp conditions for a long time. The car’s interior was soggy and smelly but most was saved.
The door card blanks had become soggy, so were stripped out, new cards made, and every element attached to them or the door was refurbished and new door cards assembled.
The interior wood trim has been completely reworked, it become faded, chunks were missing and the lacquerer was peeling off. The lacquerer was painstakingly removed by hand, the veneer repaired, all fixings were cleaned and plated and wood relaquered back to as good as new.

With a lot of work most of the interior was salvageable but the front seat leather was beyond saving the original specification of the leather was determined and sourced, and identical new front seat covers were made.

New ‘made to order’ tread plates.

Tool box was complied to be as new with correctly coloured touch up paint and defiantly no corrosion.

The only option was to make a new one!
The door window cheater retaining plate was heavily corroded, and no longer available.
